2020Reserve Stillwater Creek Sauvignon Blanc

This single vineyard 2020 Jaine Sauvignon Blanc was crafted from Stillwater Creek in the Royal Slope AVA. The vineyard is fully sustainable and uses organic farming methods, whenever possible. The fruit was hand-harvested early in the morning throughout September. Upon arriving at the winery, it was hand-sorted, whole-cluster pressed, and both fermented and aged (21 months) in Austrian oak barrels. Bottling took place in August of 2022, with only 175 cases produced.

Tasting Notes

The 2020 Jaine ‘Members Reserve’ Stillwater Creek Sauvignon Blanc was brought up in large-format Austrian oak barrels and shows pale yellow, light straw in the glass. Aromas of fennel seed, chamomile and peach nectar give way to flavors of lime zest, sweetgrass and Seville orange. The texture is lithe with lively acidity and a chalky minerality on the palate. The long finish shows sweet Asian spices with integrated cocktail bitters.
