2020Reserve La Reyna Blanca Sauvignon Blanc

[Sold Out]

This single vineyard 2020 Jaine Sauvignon Blanc was crafted from La Reyna Blanca vineyard in the Royal Slope AVA. The vineyard is fully sustainable and uses organic farming methods, whenever possible. The fruit was hand-harvested early in the morning throughout September. Upon arriving in the winery, the lot was hand-sorted, whole-cluster pressed, and both fermented and aged 11 months in concrete eggs. Bottling took place in August of 2021 with only 63 cases produced.

Tasting Notes

The 2020 Jaine ‘Members Reserve’ La Reyna Blanca Sauvignon Blanc was fermented and aged in a single concrete egg. The color is canary yellow to medium straw. The wine elicits ripe starfruit, lemon curd and sea brine on the nose, with white currant, Anaheim pepper and green mango flavors showing Sauvignon Blanc greenness on the palate. A round textured mouthfeel is juxtaposed with concentrated acidity and a lengthy, citrus zest and white flower finish.
