2020Cottage Reserve Blanc de Blanc
This single vineyard 2020 Jaine sparkling Blanc de Blanc was crafted from Conner Lee in the Columbia Valley AVA. The vineyard is fully sustainable and uses organic farming methods whenever possible. The fruit was hand-harvested early in the morning throughout September. Upon arriving in the winery, the lot was hand-sorted and whole-cluster pressed. The wine was fermented and aged for 3 months in stainless steel. Then the wine sat in bottle for 14 months until disgorged off of the lees with zero dosage. Bottling took place in late June of 2022 with only 358 cases produced.
"The 2020 Jaine Cottage Reserve Blanc de Blanc wine shows pale straw in color with a fine mousse. Aromas of yellow apple, fresh-baked biscuits and candied pear lead to flavors of white strawberry, raw almonds, nectarine and glacé fruits. The texture is creamy with balanced weight and acidity. The lingering finish shows notes of lemon yogurt and honey."
