2021Solaksen Chardonnay
This single vineyard 2021 Jaine Chardonnay was crafted from Solaksen in the Royal Slope AVA. The vineyard is fully sustainable and uses organic farming methods, whenever possible. The vineyards were hand-harvested early in the morning throughout September. Upon arriving in the winery, the vineyard lot was hand-sorted, whole-cluster pressed. The wine was aged for 22 months in both new (50%) and used (50%) French oak barrels.
A beautiful gold color in the glass, this wine offers inviting aromas of peach, apricot, and an exciting nutmeg note that entices and invites you in. The palate reveals a rich texture that is layered and intricate, rewarding you with elements of brioche and cream. A spirited nectarine acidity keeps everything in balance, and a hint of custard persists on the lengthy finish. This classic expression of Chardonnay is drinking beautifully now but will evolve and develop more subtle elements over the next three to five years.
