2018Cottage Reserve Chardonnay

[Sold Out]

The 2018 Jaine Cottage Reserve Chardonnay was crafted from 3 small vineyard parcels in the Columbia Valley, WA. These vineyards are fully sustainable and use organic farming methods, whenever possible. The vineyards were hand-harvested early in the mornings of August 29th – September 15th 2018. Upon arriving in the winery, the vineyard lot was hand-sorted, whole cluster pressed, and fermented using a combination of native yeast in barrels and then aged in barrels over the course of 24 months. Bottling took place on September 26th, 2020 with only 145 cases being produced.

Tasting Notes

“White peach, lemon zest, fresh nutmeg, marzipan, and caramel on the nose. Swirling adds notes of crème brûlée and a hint of sweet spice to the citrus-driven fruit. The palate offers layers of silky texture while maintaining a precise and polished feel. The finish rewards with length and weight. A joy to finally release to our fans.” - Bryan Otis, Proprietor

Awards & Accolades

"The 2018 Chardonnay Cottage Reserve was sourced from four separate vineyards (Stillwater, Solaksen, La Reyna Blanca and Lawrence) throughout Washington State. Aged in 100% new French oak, it delivers toasty oak tones alongside shades of buttered French bread and hazelnut. On the well-balanced palate, silky tannins line a core of pretty orchard and citrus fruits with vanilla cream. Rich and layered, this is best enjoyed at a warmer temperature."
