100% Riesling crafted from Stoneridge Vineyard in the Royal Slope. Stoneridge is a sustainably farmed high-elevation vineyard with varied soil types, which contribute complexity to the wine. It was harvested early in the mornings of September 16th.. Upon arrival at the winery, the Riesling was pressed, fermented, and aged entirely in stainless steel to focus on the purity of fruit. After seven months of aging, the wine was bottled in March of 2022.
"The medium-gold Riesling starts with orange blossom, wet stones, Williams pear, petrol, and a touch of menthol. Swirling brings white peach and green apple aromas, in addition to notes of cinnamon and sage. The palate is fresh and beautifully textured with outstanding length. The wine finishes with a kiss of sweetness, lingering acidity, and the perfect amount of spritz. A beautiful expression of Riesling that you can drink now or in the next 8 years. Stoneridge Vineyard possesses a mixture of well-drained sandy and loamy soil layered over large rocks and gravel in the Royal Slope AVA. It is owned by the Davis family, a long-time Royal Slope farming family. The Davis family started planting Stoneridge in 2000, with further development from 2006-2013.
Located 5 miles south of Corfu Crossing, this site has an elevation of 760-814 feet and row spacing is at 9’ by 6’, planted off axis. Grape varieties planted here include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, Malbec, Syrah, Tempranillo and Viognier.
