2023Columbia Valley Rosé
The 2023 Jaine Columbia Valley Rosé is a 50/50 blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre from Ravenscliff vineyard in the Columbia Valley AVA of Washington State. The site is farmed using sustainable practices. Grapes are harvested in the cooler, early morning hours to capitalize on the diurnal shift, which provides acidity and freshness. The wine was cold settled in tank, and a cool temperature was maintained to preserve the fresh fruit characteristics. The lots were fermented in stainless steel for six weeks and then aged in stainless steel barrels on the lees for 6 months. Bottled in March of 2024. Only 2,200 cases produced.
The 2023 Jaine Columbia Valley Rosé shows pale salmon pink in the glass with aromas of wild strawberry, spritz of lemon and orange zest. The palate is well-balanced with a delightful, focused acidity showing fresh, vibrant, red fruits and fine tension. The finish is lean and focused, super refreshing with a fruity, dry finish.

Ravenscliff Vineyard
Ravenscliff Vineyard is located in the Wahluke Slope AVA and is one of several vineyards owned and farmed by Milbrandt Vineyards. The Wahluke Slope AVA was established in 2006, as a part of the greater Columbia Valley AVA. This AVA is characterized by shallow soils, high elevation, low rainfall and long sunny days. Milbrandt Vineyards believes Wahluke is best for red varietal grapes and neighboring Ancient Lakes for white grape varietals. Milbrandt has gained recognition for great farming, and their fruit is highly sought after. We are thrilled to be able to source this high-quality fruit for our Jaine wines.
