Vintage Notes

The 2023 Jaine Columbia Valley Rosé is a 50/50 blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre from Ravenscliff vineyard in the Columbia Valley AVA of Washington State. The site is farmed using sustainable practices. Grapes are harvested in the cooler, early morning hours to capitalize on the diurnal shift, which provides acidity and freshness. The wine was cold settled in tank, and a cool temperature was maintained to preserve the fresh fruit characteristics. The lots were fermented in stainless steel for six weeks and then aged in stainless steel barrels on the lees for 6 months. Bottled in March of 2024. Only 2,200 cases produced.

A half-and-half blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre, the 2023 Rose has a slatey texture and a taste of anise, balanced acidity keeping it fresh and long. Barely ripe strawberry and raspberry wisp around with ease. This is a lovely wine that will cellar well over the next 10-15 years.
