2021Ravenscliff Rosé

[Sold Out]

The 2021 Jaine Rosé was crafted exclusively from Ravenscliff Vineyard, a large vineyard parcel located on the Wahluke Slope of Washington State’s Columbia Valley. The vineyard is fully sustainable, and the vines were harvested early in the morning of August 26th and 27th, 2021. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were pressed quickly to achieve minimal skin contact. The Grenache and Mourvèdre were blended, fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel to maximize its aromatic potential, fruit esters and freshness. After 7 months of aging, the wine was filtered and bottled on March 17th, 2022. Only 2,000 cases were produced.

Tasting Notes

"A pale pink rosé with mineral-tinged, red fruit. This crisp, dry Provence-style wine shows aromas of citrus zest mingled with a delicate hint of honeysuckle blossoms and fresh herbs. On the palate, this wine offers bright flavors of grapefruit, strawberry, and mandarin." - Ali Mayfield, Winemaker

JAINE MAP VINEYARD RAVENSCLIFF

Ravenscliff Vineyard is located in the Wahluke Slope AVA and is one of several vineyards owned and farmed by Milbrandt Vineyards. The Wahluke Slope AVA was established in 2006, as a part of the greater Columbia Valley AVA. This AVA is characterized by shallow soils, high elevation, low rainfall and long sunny days. Milbrandt Vineyards believes Wahluke is best for red varietal grapes and neighboring Ancient Lakes for white grape varietals. Milbrandt has gained recognition for great farming, and their fruit is highly sought after. We are thrilled to be able to source this high-quality fruit for our Jaine wines.
