2019Chenin Blanc

[Sold Out]

The 2019 Jaine Chen Blanc was crafted from one small vineyard parcel in the Columbia Valley, located just outside of the tri-cities on the east side of the Columbia River. The vineyard is fully sustainable and uses organic farming methods, whenever possible. The vineyards were hand-harvested late in the evening of September 17th. Upon arriving in the winery, the vineyard lot was hand-sorted and whole-cluster pressed before settling for 48 hours. The grapes were then fermented in a concrete egg before being transferred into neutral French oak barrels for aging. Over the course of these 9 months, this wine was stirred once a month and individually evaluated over 40 times by our winemaking team. It was finally bottled on July 23, 2020 and only 45 cases were made.

Tasting Notes

"Hints of quince, white flowers, chamomile and honeycomb. Some air brings up under ripe yellow tropical fruit, white currants, golden raspberries and stone fruit pit. The palate is round and polished with citrus and white stone fruits and a finish of crystallized lime peel." - Bryan Otis, Proprietor
