The wine opens to more forward aromas of stone and orchard fruit, in addition to lemon oil, buttered popcorn, and orange peel. The mouthfeel is not as sweet as the nose, showcasing great tension and structure, all combined with a seriously long, acid-driven finish. A very dynamic Chardonnay that you can enjoy now or in the next 6 years."

Vintage Notes

100% Chardonnay crafted from Laura Lee Vineyard in the Royal Slope. Laura Lee is a sustainably farmed high-elevation vineyard with varied soil types, which contribute complexity to the wine. It was harvested early in the mornings of September 1th. Upon arrival at the winery, the Chardonnay was pressed, fermented, and aged entirely in stainless steel to focus on the purity of fruit. After seven months of aging, this wine was bottled in March 2022.

> Sourced from this site in the Royal Slope AVA, the wine delivers pear and apricot notes alongside baking spices on the nose. The palate is very soft and refined with baked apple, creme brûlée and copious minerals that mingle well with salty underpinnings. Enjoy over the next seven plus years. Drink 2022-2029
